Need to take care of your citation, but unable to make a payment? You may be able to perform Community Service in lieu of your fine.
In some cases, the Judge may be willing to allow you to perform Community Service in lieu of your fine. Community Service hours equivalate to $10/hr (i.e. if your fine is $130.00, you will need to do 13 hours of Community Service.) All service MUST be performed at a Nonprofit Organization.
- BEFORE beginning any service the following information need to be provided to the court to ensure it is approved:
- Name of the Nonprofit Organization
- Address and Phone number of the organization
- Name of your Supervisor
- What you will be doing for the Nonprofit organizationÂ
