West Millard Pool

Located at 201 E 300 N in Delta, our West Millard Community Swimming Pool features a large year-round recreation complex which includes racquetball courts, pool table, ping pong table, foosball table and weight training equipment.There is also a wallyball court

The 214,000 gallon pool has a water slide, 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards and six lanes for lap swimming which begins at 5:30 a.m. on weekdays. You may reach the pool at (435) 864-3133 for further information or to reserve court time.

Swim lessons are taught year ’round for beginners through level six. During the school year, students at the elementary school and middle school are taught swim lessons for their physical education during one of their semesters. The Middle School boys PE classes have been learning water polo.

West Millard Community Swimming Pool’s Special Days:

Family Night – On the first Monday of the month, from 6-8pm, the pool is set aside for families. What a fun and inexpensive experience the family can have by swimming together. The entire family (living in the same household) can swim for only $12.00 on Family Night!

½ Price Night – On the second Monday of the month, from 6-8pm, is ½ price night. Everyone who comes to swim, work out on the racquetball courts or weight equipment will be admitted into the facility for ½ price.

Bring A Friend Night – Bring a Friend Night is held on the third Monday of the month from 6-8pm. For every paid admission, one friend gets to swim, play racquetball or use the weight equipment for free! It doesn’t matter whether your friend is a child or an adult.

Group Night – On the fourth Monday of the month, from 6-8pm, groups of 5 people or more will only pay $2.50 admission per person to swim, play Racquetball or use weights.

Moonlight Swim – Every Friday night from 6-7:30pm, the overhead lights in the pool area are turned off and the underwater pool lights are turned on, making swimming a new, different, and fun experience which is enjoyed by all.

Dive for Money and Prizes Day – Children and youth, ages one to sixteen, are invited to come to the pool on select days during the summer at 2pm to try their luck at diving for money and prizes. The youth dive in their own age group which makes it fair for everyone. Each child is a winner … if the child or youth doesn’t find anything on the bottom of the pool, he/she is still given a prize. It is lots of fun!! No special charge for this special day, just regular admission into the pool.

West Millard Community Swimming Pool Programs

 

 

Summer Swim Team – The Swim Team is for swimmers 8 – 18 years old who desire to learn competitive swimming and compete in swim meets throughout the state. Summer workouts are held Monday through Thursday from 9-10am. Fees are $15/weekly, or $40 per month, or $70 for the whole summer.

Swim and Stay Fit 50 Mile Club – Join the pool’s 50 Mile Club and swim your way to physical fitness. When you register for the club, your name is placed on the program sheets in the lobby where you log your mileage and your name will be put on a plaque in the facility lobby when you reach 50 miles. For every 100 miles of swimming or “water walking” you achieve, a star is put on your plaque. These are accumulative miles so take as long as you wish to reach your “50 Mile” goal. All ages are welcome. There is a lifetime membership fee of $1.00 to join.

Lap Swim – During the summer months, the early morning lap swimming is held Monday through Friday from 5:30am – 9:00am. The pool management sets this time aside especially for the dedicated swimmers and exercisers who desire to swim, water walk or do aqua aerobics for physical fitness.

Lifeguard Training Course – An American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course is offered periodically throughout the year at the pool. Call the pool to find out when the next course is being offered. This course is for persons 15 years old or over who are very good swimmers.

Boy Scout Swimming and Lifesaving Merit Badges – These two Boy Scout Merit Badges are offered periodically throughout the year. Call the pool for more information on these courses.

Adult Beginning Swimming Lessons

If you don’t know how to swim but want to learn, this class is for you. Lessons are held in the evenings and the cost is $40.00 per two week session. This class will be scheduled when six people have registered.

Aqua-Zumba

An in-water fitness class geared toward aerobic exercise put to music. Cost is $4.50 per class or $37 for 10 punch pass(non-pass holder); $3.50 per class or $27 for 10 punch pass (for pass holder). Fee is due by first of each class.

Mom & Me Swim Lessons

This is a class to acquaint parent and child with fun and safety in the water. For children 6 mo. to 3 yr. Must have a parent in the water. Cost is $40 per 5-day session and $32 on a 4-day session for a holiday week.. Each session is 50 min. Monday through Friday for one week. Fee is due at the first class.

Learn to Swim Summer Lesson Program – The summer swimming lesson program runs Monday through Friday from 10am, 11am, & 12pm  for “Mom & Me” and Levels 1 – 6.  The cost of these sessions is $40.00 per student; due at registration. You can register by calling the pool at 864-3133.  Fees are non-refundable.

School Swim Lessons – Students at Delta Middle School and the 3rd and 4th grades at the elementary school take swimming lessons at the pool during the winter months.  These lessons take place between 9:30am and 3:00pm Monday through Friday.  Each student will attend swimming lessons with his/her class and each class will participate in a block lesson plan.  The lessons are paid for by the School District.
