Affiliated Voters (a voter affiliated with a particular party):
- If the Party has a primary election, voters affiliated with that Party will automatically receive that Party’s ballot. If the Party does not have an election, these voters will need to request a different party’s ballot to vote, by doing 1 of the following:
- Affiliate with the party who has a closed primary before the deadline (Tuesday, January 9, 2024); or
- Request a ballot for an open party’s primary.
- To do either option, fill out and return the attached form found by clicking on “affiliation letter” , or electronically by visiting voter.utah.gov before the deadline (Tuesday, January 9, 2024), or visit a vote center during early voting or on Election Day.
Unaffiliated Voters (a voter not affiliated with a party):
- These voters will NOT automatically receive a ballot. To receive a ballot, these voters must request a ballot, by doing one of the following:
- Affiliate with the party who has a closed primary; or
- Request a ballot for an open party’s primary.
- To do either option, fill out and return the attached form found by clicking on “affiliation letter” , or electronically by visiting voter.utah.gov before the deadline (Tuesday, January 9, 2023), or visit a vote center during early voting or on Election Day.
